    The breakdown of each black top engine is shown below, but before we go through this we can only keep our prices low if we take your old serviceable engine in exchange, if you do not have one, or any main part of your core unit is damaged such as cracked heads or worn out cams/cranks or blocks with serious wall damage, we reserve the right to levy an extra charge on the components that are not serviceable.

    You get a fully assembled engine with choice of OE Head, Ported or Gas Flowed Head, you get everything from sump to cam cover. All that will be required is for you to transfer the engine ancillaries such as sensors, injectors, alternator, solenoids, fuel pump, vacuum pump, and all accessories. As this is a complete unit, every part from your car will bolt directly on from whichever model you have in which ever country you are situated. Our engine builders have been building units to exact specifications for many years, all tolerances are checked and optimised to the lowest possible settings. The tappet shims in the cylinder heads for instance are set to the tightest Ford specification and therefore the motors run very quietly and efficiently.

    The Black Top 1.6 EcoBoost engine is for the customer looking to upgrade their stock engine with one that can comfortably handle over 400whp in competition use. From giant Garrett G25-550 turbo builds and extra fuel systems this engine is intended for use over 400hp to the wheels and crazy 8000rpm rev limit. The ultimate choice for those involved in motorsports with a real need for both power and reliability.

     



     

    • 1.6 EcoBoost block with Pumaspeed Racing Closed Deck Ductile Iron Sleeves fitted and honed to suit std or + size pistons
    • 1.6 EcoBoost crank, polished and balanced to customer clutch and flywheel of choice
    • Cylinder head – Choice of Stock, Mild ported to open the valve and exhaust throats or Fully Race Ported
    • Pumaspeed Wossner Pistons with Stock compression with skirt coating (Optional higher compression)
    • New Ford OE oil pump
    • New Ford OE water pump
    • New Ford OE / DAYCO timing belt kit
    • Stock Ford OE camshafts (Optional upgrade to Piper stage 2 or 3) 
    • Optional – Piper cams single valve train upgrade kit with spring caps
